The Daily Record has named two members of the Maryland Association of CPAs as among Maryland’s 2019 Most Admired CEOs.

Tom Hood, CPA, CITP, CGMA, president and CEO of the MACPA and the Business Learning Institute in Towson, Md., and Jeffrey S. Rosen, CPA, CGMA, MBA, co-managing partner of Rosen, Sapperstein & Friedlander in Columbia, Md., were honored at an award celebration on Nov. 5 at the Hilton Baltimore BWI Airport Hotel. They and the other winners will be profiled in a special magazine that will be inserted into the Nov. 6 issue of The Daily Record. The magazine also will be available online at TheDailyRecord.com.

The Daily Record created the Most Admired CEOs awards program to recognize talented business CEOs and nonprofit executive directors throughout Maryland for their leadership and vision. The winners were selected based on professional accomplishments, community service, and letters of reference submitted by co-workers, board members, and community leaders showing the CEO’s leadership and vision.

“I am honored and humbled by this recognition by The Daily Record,” Hood said. “A CEO is only as good as his or her team, and I am fortunate to have one of the best teams in the CPA profession. It includes our staff, our Board of Directors, our strategic partners, and our members, all committed to making CPAs even more #FutureReady.”

Rosen echoed Hood’s sentiments.

“I am honored and humbled to be recognized alongside so many great CEOs, including my friend, Tom Hood,” he said. “I believe leaders are only as good as the people they lead. Therefore, I would like to dedicate this award to our talented and committed RS&F team.”

“This year’s Most Admired CEOs demonstrate that leadership matters to our economy and to the quality of our day-to-day lives,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. “Many people are promoted into leadership roles, but only some people have the emotional intelligence, focus, drive, and compassion to become an admired leader. We at The Daily Record are pleased to honor this year’s Most Admired CEOs.”
